Rules and Guidelines

1. The work must be your own and contain Kyou, Kagura, or Kyou and Kagura in some way. Fanworks featuring just one of them are acceptable but both is preferred. Friendship fics are just as welcome as romantic ones and all genres and ratings are welcome. Just know that all matures works will be marked.

2. Spelling, grammar, and basic formatting should be checked before submission. There's no excuse for sloppy work; spellcheck programs abound and Neko Ino even offers to help you find a proofreader if you so choose. Multiple submissions of error-riddled work may result in the story being pulled until it is redone.

3. In order to provide the best reading experience for visitors, there will now be a limit as to how many in-progress fics one author can have hosted at once (this doesn't include drabble or oneshot collections). If you have more than five going, no more will be added until one of those is finished. If you start a new one, I'll keep the alert or email and automatically add it when an opening occurs.

4. Also, in progress fics where KK are paired up with other people but will eventually get together are no longer going to be added to the site until they reach the point where Kyou and Kagura start coming together in some way. Having a visitor click on a fic where all avaliable chapters are Tohru/Kyou or Kagura/Ritsu kind of defeats the purpose of the site. Again, I'll start adding automatically, but feel free to give me a heads up on when that chapter gets posted.

5. Fics where Kyou and Kagura's children are the main characters (even ones in answer to challenge 8) will now need to contain a notable amount of Kyou and Kagura to remain on the site. They should appear at least once every 2-3 chapters and have a role in the plot, not just popping up for no reason.

For Reference

When I see a new KK fic on FF.net or elsewhere, I will no longer be automatically asking the writer to host it here. Since we have a nice collection of fics, I'm starting to be a little more picky. Unless something really jumps out at me, I'm not going to promise I'll ask to host every KK fic I come across. I have less time to spend scouting new fics and coding all the chapters, so this is really the only choice I have if I want to keep Neko Ino going. However, no submitted fic will ever be turned away, so make use of the information below and send it to me.

If I ask to host a fic and the author says yes, there are some perks. First of all, I will no longer be linking to fics so it's the only way to get listed on this site. I will also review each chapter (if it's multi-chaptered) as it comes out and before placing that chapter on the site. Should an author start a new KK fic, I will also review that one from the start. Hosted fics have a comment bar on them, allowing visitors to remark on them right here on Neko Ino. Only fics on Neko Ino are eligable for the new Critique Corner and Recommended Reading features of the site.

NOTICE!! I'm considering doing a sweep to remove some of the "dead" fics from this site. It's not a sure thing yet, but I am giving it a lot of thought. A dead fic would be if it hasn't been updated in more than a year and the author shows no signs of returning to it anytime soon. Even then, I would be strongly hesitant to remove any fics, especially if they're considered favorites by visitors. I will give plenty of notice before this actually starts, allowing authors time to assess whether or not they'll keep going with their piece.
