Experiencing Death By NightshadeHibana
Chapter Three
Kyo shrugged Kagura off his arm and pulled his hand away. Without saying a word he stood and walked out of the room. Kagura sighed and shook her head leaning against the headboard of the bed staring down. All she wanted was to make Kyo happy and for once instead of the frown he always has on his face see a true smile. How is she supposed to do it when he won’t even open up to her a little? It was like some kind of barrier was surrounding his body, blocking out anyone who tries to get close to him, especially her. When they were children they would always play together. You could always find the two of them together and it was very rare for them not to get along. Then one day, without saying a word to anyone, he just left. Weeks went by and then months, no one had heard anything from Kyo, not a word. Kagura had been so afraid that something bad might have happened to him. The sad thing about it was no one had bothered to go out and look for him, they acted as if he never existed, and went on about there lives. Kagura was too young to go out and look on her own, the adults wouldn’t help, not even their master Kazuma which surprised her. Then two years ago after three years Kyo came back and he was a completely different person. Before he was always nice to her and spent time with her now he didn’t want anything to do with her and was mean to her, sometimes he was nice but it was very rare, and it hurt her. The reason she was always trying to spend so much time with Kyo now even though he didn’t want to is she’s afraid. Scared that he might not leave again and this time never come back. Kagura decided to just leave him alone for a while she had a feeling Kyo wouldn’t talk to her or anything right now. Not while he was in a bad mood like he was now and after what he had did the night before to himself. Kyo found himself walking through the woods with no destination in mind. The heavy rain soaked him a matter of seconds, his clothes clinged to his body, his bangs sticking to his face but he didn’t care. A lot of things were on his mind that he just couldn’t stop thinking about. The dream he had earlier, his habit of cutting, and Kagura. As far as the dream went he still had no idea what it meant. The one part that he really did understand was him needing to be nicer to other people, and that was a hard thing for him to do and he didn’t want to change. Kyo had his reasons for being the way he was and didn’t plan on changing for anyone…or would he? Kyo stopped walking and slumped down under a tree and began to take off his bandage that was on his arm. Once it was removed he stared down at the scar running his finger over it biting his bottom lip. He took off the rest of his bandages and did the same he did to his first scar to the rest of them, stared down at them while he carefully ran his finger over each one. Doing so caused a shiver to creep up his spine making him wince slightly. “Kyo, I know I taught you better than that, now didn’t I?” Kyo instantly recognized the voice and jumped to his feet staring in the direction it came from. There standing in front of his was his master Kazuma, with a somewhat disappointed look on his face. “Master what…why are you here?” Kyo turned his head slightly trying not to meet his gaze, the gaze that told him he knew that he did wrong and that there may be consequences. “Shigure gave me a call and told me about your little incident,” Kazuma walked over to Kyo and held his arm up looking down at the long red scar across his arm. “Kyo, didn’t I always tell you that if you ever had any problems to come to me? I know I’ve taught you better so why are you doing this to yourself?” Kyo pulled his arm away and turned his back to him staring down at the muddy ground wrapping his arms around himself. “I have my reasons…You were never there for me before, why are you here now?” “Kyo you know as well as I do that that’s a lie.” “No it isn’t!” “When have I not been there for you Kyo? When your mother abandoned you I took you in as my own, I trained you, I took care of you when you were sick, Kyo you know that I loved you as if you were my own son.” “You weren’t never there for me when I had went away those three years! None of you came looking for me…the whole reason I had left in the first place was to see if any of you would actually come and look for me! Shows how much you care…” Kazuma didn’t say a word he just stared down at Kyo now was the best time to tell Kyo the truth. Something that was meant to be told to Kyo for a long time but never was, now was the best time to tell him. |
